Quick answer: the Secretlab TITAN Evo scores highest (4.7/5): it’s the only one of the three made in three sizes, it reclines the furthest (165°) and Secretlab offers up to a 5-year warranty. If adjustable lower-back support matters most to you, the Razer Iskur V2 NewGen has the most adjustable lumbar system here.
Secretlab TITAN Evo
- Three sizes: Small, Regular and XL (up to 205 cm and 180 kg)
- Built-in 4-way adjustable lumbar support and 4D metal armrests
- Reclines from 85° to 165°
A gaming chair is something you sit in for hours, so fit and adjustability matter far more than racing-style looks. The right chair supports your lower back, lets your feet rest flat on the floor and keeps your arms relaxed at desk height. We compared three popular premium chairs — the Secretlab TITAN Evo, the Razer Iskur V2 NewGen and the noblechairs HERO — on their published specifications.
A note on back pain: a well-adjusted chair can help you sit in a better position, but it isn’t a treatment. If you have ongoing back or neck pain, talk to a doctor or physiotherapist.
What matters when choosing a gaming chair
Size comes first. A chair that’s too small or too large won’t support you properly, however good its features. Check the manufacturer’s recommended height and weight ranges — and the maximum load — before anything else. One-size chairs are designed around a single range of body sizes.
Lumbar support should be adjustable and built in. Loose lumbar pillows tend to slip. Built-in systems stay in place, and the more ways you can adjust them (height, depth), the more likely they are to match the curve of your back.
Armrests set your shoulder position. “4D” armrests move up and down, forward and back, side to side and rotate, so you can line them up with your desk and keep your shoulders relaxed.
Check the warranty. A chair takes daily wear for years — gas lifts, mechanisms and upholstery are the parts that fail. Warranty length also varies by country and retailer, so check the terms where you buy.

1. Secretlab TITAN Evo — best overall (4.7/5)
The TITAN Evo’s biggest advantage is fit: it’s the only chair here sold in three sizes. Secretlab recommends Small for people under 170 cm, Regular for 170–189 cm and XL for 181–205 cm, with a maximum load of 130 kg for Small and Regular and 180 kg for XL (which also gets a heavy-duty hydraulic piston and a wider wheelbase). If you’re very tall, very short or heavier than most one-size chairs allow, that matters more than any other feature.
It also has a built-in 4-way lumbar system, 4D armrests on a full-metal mechanism, a steel frame and the widest recline range here (85°–165°). Secretlab offers up to a 5-year extended warranty. The trade-off: the lumbar system is less adjustable than Razer’s, and you need to pick the right size when ordering.
Not for you if: you want the most adjustable lumbar support, or the lowest price.
✔ Pros
- Three sizes, up to 205 cm and 180 kg
- Deepest recline here (165°)
- 4D full-metal armrests
- Up to 5-year warranty
✘ Cons
- Lumbar adjusts less than Razer's
- You must choose the right size when ordering
2. Razer Iskur V2 NewGen — best lumbar support (4.0/5)
Razer’s chair stands out for its HyperFlex lumbar support: it’s built into the backrest, swivels 360° and adjusts up, down, in and out — 60 mm of height adjustment and 40 mm of depth, according to Razer. That makes it the most adjustable lumbar system in this comparison. It also has 4D armrests, a dual-density cold-cured foam seat and a memory-foam head cushion.
It’s designed for people 160–200 cm tall and up to 136 kg, and reclines to about 152°. It loses points for being one size only, for the highest starting price (US$649.99) and for a 3-year standard warranty — though Razer says buyers on razer.com can upgrade to 5 years for free.
Not for you if: you’re over 136 kg or taller than 200 cm, or you want the cheapest option.
✔ Pros
- Most adjustable lumbar support here
- 4D armrests
- Free warranty upgrade to 5 years on razer.com
✘ Cons
- Most expensive starting price
- One size only (up to 136 kg)
- Less recline than Secretlab
3. noblechairs HERO — best value (3.7/5)
The noblechairs HERO has the lowest listed price here (US$499.99 on the noblechairs US store) and a solid set of features: 4D armrests, built-in lumbar support adjusted with a side dial, a steel frame, an aluminium base and a 150 kg maximum load. noblechairs also lists it as certified as an office chair under the European DIN EN 1335 standard.
It reclines less than the others (90°–125°), comes in one size, and its warranty is the shortest: noblechairs lists 2 years in the EU and 1 year in the US for recent purchases. The chair itself weighs about 29 kg, so it’s sturdy but heavy to move.
Not for you if: you like to lean far back, or a long warranty matters to you.
✔ Pros
- Lowest starting price
- 150 kg maximum load
- 4D armrests and built-in lumbar support
- Listed as DIN EN 1335 office-chair certified
✘ Cons
- Least recline (125°)
- Shortest warranty
- One size only

Frequently asked questions
Is a gaming chair better than an office chair?
Not automatically. Many gaming chairs use a racing-style bucket shape, while office chairs often have mesh backs. What matters is that the chair fits your body and adjusts to your desk. The noblechairs HERO is listed as certified to the European office-chair standard DIN EN 1335.
What does 4D armrest mean?
The armrests adjust in four directions: height, forward and back, side to side, and angle. That lets you line them up with your desk so your shoulders stay relaxed.
How do I set up a gaming chair correctly?
Set the seat height so your feet are flat on the floor and your knees are roughly level with your hips. Adjust the lumbar support to fill the curve of your lower back, then set the armrests level with your desk.
Are warranties the same everywhere?
No. Warranty terms vary by country, retailer and purchase date — noblechairs, for example, lists 2 years in the EU but 1 year in the US. In the EU you also have a 2-year legal guarantee from the seller.
Our verdict
The Secretlab TITAN Evo is the most complete choice on paper: three sizes, the deepest recline and the longest warranty. Choose the Razer Iskur V2 NewGen if adjustable lower-back support matters most, or the noblechairs HERO to spend less on a well-equipped chair.
